Where learning is irresistible
Pinewood recognises the vital contribution of Physical Education to ta child’s physical, cognitive, social and emotional development and their overall wellbeing.
Physical Education at Pinewood is about teaching the children fundamental movement skills, encompassing both gross and fine motor skills. Children are given opportunities to develop agility, control, and manipulation of objects, balance and coordination. They are also taught the skills needed to work as a team.
We also recognise the importance of teaching the children about keeping their bodies healthy from Nursery. This includes healthy eating, hand washing, teeth cleaning and being happy!
We also teach the children breathing strategies from F1 to Y2 to promote a healthy mind. We want our children to grow up to be strong, fit, healthy adults.
